Let's Talk Motivation

Ever have one of those mornings where you are not feeling it or that you feel you are loosing sights of what your star of your dreams is? Sometimes all you need is a simple reminder. There are different ways that you can motivate yourself. What matters is you find it yourself.  Meaning you find what works for you.

I find that listening to music that is uplifting and motivating helps a lot. I have also found that reflecting about what means the most to me helps me to realize what I need to do in my life.

Often when I am having one of those mornings I just have to breathe and take in how far I have come and realize how much farther I can go. I then have to remind myself to keep going by reflecting and listening to music.

Think about what helps motivate you at those moments and do it.

Lee Ann Womack - I Hope You Dance. Finding Your Dreams and not Backing Down.

In my junior year high school we had an American Dream project where we had to say what it was too us and we had to make a windows media video for the project. My teacher did one for us and she used the song "I Hope Dance" by Lee Ann  Womack. For me this song is finding your dreams and not backing down from it. I feel that it is also the idea that you need to find something that is meaningful for you and that you do it to the fullest and that you enjoy it.

As a way to stay positive it helps to have something that means a lot to you that you can do it and love it. That it gives you something to look forward to even when times are rough, and that it can uplift you to be happy. Rather it be writing, performing in a play, signing, dancing on stage or off, teaching, running, swimming, or anything that does this for you go out and find what helps to be happy and positive and do.

I encourage you to go and listen the song "I Hope you Dance"

Being Positive, why I chose to create this blog.

I have been interning between SUNY Cortland and Ithaca College and while interning at both schools I have had different experiences. Ithaca has had me doing informational interviews and I conducted one today with the director of student activities today. She had told me that she had at one point wanted create a magazine that would be centered on self esteem. I feel that in this society all to often girls are put down.

After thinking about it when left her office I realized that there is so much negativity out there and there needs to more positively surrounding girls and more ways to raise a persons self esteem. That is why I chose to create this blog.

I feel that through this blog I can help myself and others to have more positively  and better self esteem.
